Portrait Series (Humans of Visual Literacy)

Katrina is the center or subject of my Portrait Series (Humans of Visual Literacy). On a recent trip to New York City, these photos were taken candidly. I think they tell a bigger story about who she is. Katrina is an adventurer and after this trip, I can safely say she is very into walking the entire city. She is constantly prepared and always on the move. I chose to photograph Katrina because of her constant movement and because she is always on the lookout for something new. In each photo, she is moving. Whether it's too rummage through her bag or to take a snowy stroll through Central Park. She is always prepared and I even managed to photograph this when she was acting as the map guide in the subway. My subject is a tourist but a tourist that is in control and fast paced.
